Grace Loves Lace has unveiled its first eco wedding gown called Lumi (£2,200) constructed from 96% recycled materials, ethically handcrafted in the brand's Australian studio.
From the lace and tulle to the decorative covered buttons and eyelash trim, each part is a conscious choice for the planet. Founder and creative director, Megan Ziems, tells us, "We were inspired to take materials that would have been otherwise discarded and use modern technology to create a beautiful wedding gown that holds so much meaning."
She continues, "Repurposing what's traditionally seen as a waste product to create a valued heirloom - to me that's revolutionary. The way the dress hugs and supports the body is flawless. The cup shape and wide straps are perfect for small and large busts, the split on the thigh is elongating, the pearlescent threading is visually flattering and the sheer lace panel on the lower back adds drama."
Launching alongside the own is the Lumi veil (£390) crafted from 100% recycled tulle and lace.
This comes after the news that Australia's leading bridal brand was the most pinned wedding dress brand on Pinterest this November.
