Tell us about your background...
My background is in visual merchandising and with a deep-rooted love for my childhood in the countryside and time spent with my mum and sister in the garden, I've always had an interest in growing flowers and being creative. My sister used to grow a lot of her own flowers and create designs for a local hotel and wedding venue, I used to help her and then had the itch to open a shop in our local town
What's your favourite type of wedding to work on?
From working as a team on large-scale marquee decor like suspended installations and entrance arches to standing quietly in our workroom working carefully on a bridal bouquet, they give us as much joy.
What's your top wedding planning tip?
Start early! Get booking your favourite suppliers early to avoid disappointment and unnecessary stress. Once you have got bookings ticked off you can take your time to continue planning. The planning should be enjoyed as much as the day!
What questions do wedding couples ask you the most?
Have you worked at my venue before? We have worked at many many wedding venues in Somerset. If we haven't before, then we are always willing and excited to visit, as well as liasing with wedding coordinators.
Can you work to my budget? Always, just speak to us.
Do you hire out props and lighting? We have been in the wedding industry for 20 years! We have an extensive list of lighting, vases, trees, etc available to hire.
