We ask Bristol wedding venue stylist Elizabeth Weddings your styling question...
Q: How do we style our industrial city-centre venue to give a warm atmosphere?
The possibilities are endless with this type of blank-canvas venue, making it easier to add your own stamp. If you have high ceilings, try tall centrepieces to fill the room. If you opt for shorter centrepieces, then hang paper lanterns and warm fairy lights at a higher level for a cosy feel. This will look great in a contemporary setting. Monochrome is a great modern trend, and we offer handmade monochrome table runners. The crisp lines give a contemporary feel – just team with anything that's geometric in shape.
Candles are a brilliant way to add ambience, especially if you're having an autumn or winter wedding. Brass and gold candlesticks add warmth, while pillar candles give a lovely glow when lit. I would avoid using too much white, as it may make the space look sparse. Opt for wooden tables in an industrial setting, and fill the space with bold, brightly coloured florals.
