Berwick Lodge is an imposing red-brick Victorian manor house. Its interior has everything you’d expect from a building of its type, such as open fires and wood panelling, yet with an East meets West twist. Sumptuous over-sized sofas and crystal chandeliers bring a luxurious feel to the place while retaining its relaxed and welcoming ambience A sweeping staircase leads to 14 beautiful bedrooms, all individually designed and named after ancient civilizations in the Anatolian period.

Set in 18 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland with views reaching as far as Wales, the venue features a walkway to Aphrodite’s Dome (the marble pergola), ornate fountains, an orchard and summer house, making it a wonderful backdrop.

Summeria is a light room upstairs in the converted stable block, the Mews, with skylights and views of the countryside. An original stained- glass doorway leads you to this room in the eaves that holds up to 50 nearest and dearest for your civil ceremony. Mesopotamia, also in the Mews, hosts ceremonies witnessed by up to 90 loved ones. This ground- floor room boasts large windows, pillars to decorate and access to a patio area with views of the woodland and countryside beyond.

The dining room, known as Hattusa, can host wedding breakfasts for 20 to 90 guests and up to 150 for an evening reception. The architectural style and crystal chandeliers create a welcoming and intimate atmosphere. What’s more, elopement weddings for just the two of you are hosted in the pretty little summer house in the gardens.

Expert says prenups aren't just for the rich and famous

Legal experts at Richard Nelson LLP are urging Brits to rethink who prenups are really for. While often seen as something reserved for high-profile couples, data suggests they remain largely overlooked in everyday relationships. Just 7 percent of divorced Brits had a prenuptial agreement in place before separating, highlighting a significant gap between perception and reality. Regionally, attitudes vary.
