Hugo Hall, Chief Pilot and Co-Founder of Fly Away Ballooning, comments: “When we were looking for a hotel partner in Bath, The Francis Hotel seemed like a natural fit for us.  They are a much-loved part of Bath’s heritage and working hard to develop community and local relations. We felt that our experiences would really work well with the guests already visiting the hotel.  And, there really is no better way to see the whole of the city than from the skies on a spring or summer morning or early evening”.

Perfect for locals, or those short on time, in addition to this short-break package, Fly Away Ballooning will also hand discount vouchers to all customers post-flight, to enjoy a meal in The Francis Hotel’s restaurant, Boho Marché.

Married to your surname? 26% of women are planning on keeping theirs

Lots of people are ditching traditions when it comes to modern weddings and marriage - one of which quickly losing favour is the tradition of taking your partner's surname. In a recent survey carried out by Pandora UK, almost nine in ten (88%) women said they think that attitudes to married names are changing in 2026 ¹. This is indicative of the shift in opinion in recent years, as when married women were asked, only a sixth (17%) of women said they kept their maiden names when they got married, whilst the majority (78%) took their partner's surname, with just 4% choosing to double-barrel their last name with their significant other.
