Check out these candles with a Scents of Humour!

Candle making kit from Scents of Humour

Bristol-based Scents of Humour was born out of the Covid-19 chaos when founder Jack was unemployed due to the pandemic. At the time, and having just become a father to baby Henry, he and good friend Aaron hatched a plan to design and make candles in their kitchens. The two have been friends since school and always joked about making products together. Following a successful launch in 2020, Aaron took a step away from the business due to work commitments, leaving Jack and his wife Katie to run Scents of Humour. Although Jack has since gone back to work full time, he and Katie have kept the company going in their spare time. “Running the business gives us so much enjoyment – making candles and trying to come up with funny new names for them,” Jack says.

As well as the hand-poured soy candles, which would make fab gifts for your bridal party, Scents of Humour is now also offering candle-making kits: Make Scents. Priced at £40, these include everything you need to make two 220g candles and are available in several fragrance options including Mums N' Roses, Bruce Spring Clean and Better Latte Than Never. We think these are a lovely idea for a fun and crafty hen do activity.

The Wedding Music Trends Couples Are Choosing for 2026

For couples planning 2026 weddings, music has moved beyond background noise - it's now a defining, intentional part of the overall experience.
