Couples searching for a wedding venue with authenticity, character and sustainability at its core are being welcomed to Aldwick Estate’s Wedding Open Day on Sunday 14 September, 11am–3pm.
Located just outside Bristol at the foot of the Mendip Hills, Aldwick is a fifth-generation, family-owned estate with a reputation for combining rural tranquillity, accessibility and thoughtful hospitality. The vineyard, planted in 2008, provides a unique backdrop for weddings alongside two beautifully restored stone barns, landscaped grounds and on-site accommodation.
Sustainability is central to Aldwick’s ethos, with ongoing projects including rainwater conservation and grassland regeneration. In August this year, the estate was accepted into the government’s Species Rich Grasslands Scheme, reflecting its biodiversity work.
Sandy Luck, Managing Director, said: “Couples increasingly want venues that feel rooted in place, that reflect their values, and that offer something truly distinctive. Aldwick delivers that – with the romance of a vineyard setting, award-winning English wines, and a strong sustainability story.”
At the Open Day, couples will be able to explore the barns, grounds and vineyard setting, while also meeting Aldwick’s trusted team of florists, caterers, musicians and more. The estate’s experienced wedding team will be on hand to offer guidance and discuss individual requirements. Guests will also be welcomed with a complimentary glass of Aldwick’s English sparkling wine.
Entry is free, but advance registration is required at www.aldwickestate.co.uk/openday
