When Temperley London asked Cake Design by Holly Miller to design a centrepiece for their bridal open day, she knew it couldn't be just any cake. "As with all my designs, it needed to celebrate creativity, couture and craftsmanship, values that are at the core of everything I create," Holly says. "This particular design was also an opportunity to honour the artistry that defines the Temperley Collection."
The Toledo gown in almond mix by Temperley was the inspiration behind Holly's wedding cake design. Each section of the dress was reflected throughout the cake's tiers, echoing the position of the dress' motifs. Meanwhile, the stencilled pattern on the fondant replicated the illusion of the delicate netting used as the gown's base, and cascading sugar flowers in the brightest hues matched Toledo's bold and beautiful embroidery. "It's this level of obsession that makes sure my designs stand out from the crowd," Holly explains.
