We asked Taste Catering in Bruton for their predictions on 2020 wedding catering trends...

At Taste Catering in Bruton, we are finding that many of our couples for 2020 and 2021 are looking for a more casual, chilled and informal style of catering for their wedding.

For this, we recommend our grazing and feasting tables of delicious locally sourced and prepared dishes. We pile high lots of delicious locally sourced produce including local meats or delicious plant-based mains with amazing salads, rustic breads, cheeses, fruits and desserts for your guests to enjoy in a relaxed styling.

Don't forget for this styling of wedding you still require great service and a high level of staffing to make your wedding day run perfectly from start to finish. This is really the success of any wedding and there is nothing nicer than having your guests being amazed at not only how delicious the food was, but also how well they have been looked after from that first glass of fizz to the yummy food served late into the evening.

Grazing table and feasting style wedding menu by Taste (southwest) Ltd of Bruton:
A selection of brushetta topped with vine tomatoes and basil and crushed edamame, peas, garlic and lemon
Somerset cider-infused salami and chorizio
Dips to include tzatziki, houmous, baba ganouche served with crudites of rainbow vegetables, flatbreads, foccacia and breadsticks Godminster organic cheddar, White Nancy Goats cheese, figs, grapes, celery, crackers and oat cakes with platters of our Ottolenghi-inspired salads.

Follow this with our delicious chocolate and raspberry brownies, retro pots of Eton mess and lemon syllabub, Italian-style filled doughnuts and chocolate-covered strawberries.
